Intuitive Training Concepts, LLC specializes in personal firearms defense training. We are very honored to be able to offer the Combat Focus® Shooting program, and also the Combat Focus® Carbine and Advanced Pistol Handling programs.  Combat Focus® Shooting is an intuitive shooting program designed to help the shooter become more efficient in the context of a dynamic critical incident.  Please feel free to e-mail with any questions you may have on the program, or click on the Combat Focus® Shooting tab on the right for more  information.  Current class offerings and locations are posted on the Schedule page.

In addition to our Combat Focus® Courses, we are offering Introduction to Defensive Handgun courses, which are geared more towards beginner shooters and those new to firearms ownership.  Home defense scenarios are also covered in this course.

Intuitive Training Concepts, LLC is owned and operated by Mike Riter.  Mike is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he conducted weapons and drill training for the Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard Team from 1988 to 1991, and also served as a weapons instructor and maintenance inspector for a rapid deployment team of Civil Engineers from 1988 to 1992, including an overseas assignment during the first Persian Gulf War.  He has been a certified Combat Focus® Shooting instructor since October of 2009.  Having previously trained with I.C.E. Training Company (Combat Focus® Shooting and Advanced Pistol Handling, May 9 – 11 2008, and hosting a similar course in September 2008) has enabled Mike to quickly transition from strictly a student to instructor with little difficulty.  He is also certified to teach NRA basic pistol courses and NRA Home Firearm Safety, and holds a Range Safety Officer certification from the NRA. Mike also has received Advanced Pistol Handling Instructor certification and Combat Focus® Carbine Instructor certification, and we are now able to offer these dynamic courses!
